INTRODUCING

Lucky Gideon

A Tale of Courage, Connection, and Compassion

Lucky Gideon tells the compelling story of Adira Bernstein, a grieving widow in 1862 who, after losing her husband to the Civil War, faces the heartbreak of her son enlisting in the Union Army. Determined to protect him, Adira disguises herself as a man and joins the 1st New Jersey Cavalry, embarking on a dangerous journey south as a Union scout. Told through the eyes of her loyal horse, Gideon, the film captures the bravery and resilience of women who defied societal norms, the sacrifices of animals in times of war, and the enduring power of hope and compassion in the face of overwhelming adversity. Lucky Gideon is a heartfelt tribute to untold stories of courage, both human and equine.
